Egyptian ȝbḏw and Coptic Ebōt, a large archaeological site located west of the Nile, significant throughout ancient Egyptian history, with royal associations and an important center fo the cult of Osiris. The main temple of Osiris was at Al-ʿArāba al-Madfūna, but the ancient remains are spread over a large area.
