Tall Maskan or Tall Miskīn is a well-defined tell, the site of the town of Maskin. Surface finds indicate settlement in the Parthian and especially Sasanid Periods. The town is mentioned in relation to a famous battle fought during the Second Muslim Civil War, in 691.
