  Major Kushan-Sasanian site. Extensive area of stupas, monasteries and artificial caves, in mostly Greco-Buddhist style (1500 ha). Excavated by Barthoux (DAFA, 1926-28). Badly damaged during Afghan civil war.

  Kushan and Kushano-Sasanian stupa-monastery complex and associated habitation area, isolated on a small natural hill. Excavated by Barthoux (DAFA, 1928).
